Quality Is a Process, Not a Final Check
A defect found at the end of a production run is already expensive. Our inspection points are placed where a problem can still be corrected — on incoming material, during assembly, and again before the goods leave.
Three-stage inspection
Where we check, and what it catches
Incoming material inspection
Blanks, guides, reel seats, handle materials and adhesives are checked on arrival — dimensions, straightness, finish quality and batch consistency — before anything is assembled.
In-process inspection
Checked at each assembly stage: guide alignment, wrap and epoxy finish, handle bond, seat fit and joint tolerance. Problems are caught while the rod is still on the line.
Pre-shipment inspection
Finished goods are checked as a lot against the approved sample: action consistency, cosmetic grade, component match, labelling and packing before the carton is sealed.
Inspection checklist
What actually gets checked on a carbon rod
| Stage | Check point | What we are looking for |
|---|---|---|
| Incoming | Blank | Straightness, wall consistency, surface finish, section fit |
| Incoming | Guides & seats | Ring condition, frame integrity, seat thread and fit |
| Incoming | Handle materials | EVA density and finish, cork grade, bond surface preparation |
| In-process | Guide alignment | Spine alignment and guide line straightness under load |
| In-process | Wrap & finish | Thread tension, epoxy coverage, no bubbles or drips |
| In-process | Handle & seat bond | Adhesive coverage, concentricity, no movement under torque |
| Pre-shipment | Action consistency | Lot-level deflection check against the approved sample |
| Pre-shipment | Cosmetic grade | Colour match, print and logo quality, surface defects |
| Pre-shipment | Packing & labelling | Carton count, barcodes, hang tags, retail readiness |
QC resources
People and instruments, in-house
Inspection is only meaningful if it is done by people who know what a good rod feels like, backed by instruments rather than opinion.
- 2 in-house testing instruments for objective load and deflection checks
- Certified engineers, each with 5+ years of expertise
- Core engineering team with 20+ years in the fishing tackle industry
- Lot-level comparison against the approved golden sample
What we will send you
On request, we provide inspection records and photographs taken during production and at pre-shipment, so you can see the goods being checked rather than taking it on trust.
Test reports
Where your market requires specific test documentation or certification, tell us at the enquiry stage. We will confirm what can be arranged for your product and destination before you place the order — we do not claim certifications we do not hold.
Repeat orders
Consistency is the real test of a supplier
Anyone can send one good sample. The question is whether the tenth order matches the first. Approved components, recorded specifications and a golden sample kept per programme are how that is enforced here.
